It is still unclear as to how Sukuna was sealed and turned his fingers into cursed objects, but what we know for sure is that he was not defeated by conventional means.
Who Can Beat Sukuna?
As of now, there is not a single character who could defeat the King of Curses on their own. However, there’s a possibility that Sukuna can be defeated if several sorcerers work together as a team. Here are some of the characters with the most potential to defeat Sukuna if their strengths are combined:
Gojo Satoru
Obviously, first on the list is Gojo Satoru, who is considered the strongest sorcerer in the series. As someone who possesses both the Six Eyes and Limitless, Gojo single-handedly altered the balance of the jujutsu world as soon as he was born. His ability allows him to manipulate and distort space and equip himself with an invisible barrier using Infinity.
Apart from that, Limitless also grants him vast perception and tremendous brain processing power, allowing him to easily read his opponent’s movements and see things from miles away. Many people also believe that Gojo is worth all 20 of Sukuna’s fingers, and at full power, he might actually fight toe to toe with the King of Curses. That is, if he manages to break out of the Prison Realm before Sukuna annihilates humanity.
Yuta Okkotsu
Among the students at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Yuta possesses the most potential to surpass Gojo Satoru. During the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons, he was able to defeat Geto Suguru all on his own, thanks to his firm resolve and powerful cursed technique. Megumi Fushiguro
Next on the list is Megumi, another first-year student with a huge potential to surpass Gojo Satoru. He is by far the youngest sorcerer to have his own Domain Expansion in the series. His Domain Expansion may still be incomplete, but it proved effective enough to defeat special grade curses. Megumi’s ability to summon and manipulate various shikigami through the Ten Shadows Technique also makes him one of the most versatile fighters in the series. Aside from Yuta, Hakari is considered one of the few Tokyo Jujutsu High students who could eventually surpass Gojo Satoru. His cursed technique, known as the Private Pure Love Train, works as a huge probability game that gives him a lot of boosts during a fight and makes him even stronger as it progresses. Hakari’s Domain Expansion also allows him to hit a “jackpot” and gain temporary access to unlimited cursed energy.
