Who is Gojo Satoru?
Gojo Satoru is one of the supporting characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. He works as a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High where he supports and provides protection to some young sorcerers with great potential. Behind his carefree and childlike attitude toward his friends and students, Gojo is indisputably the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer existing in the current generation. His words alone carry enough threat to the executives of Jujutsu Sorcerer Society and his influence is strong enough to halt the execution of two Special Grade anomalies like Yuji Itadori (Sukuna’s Vessel) and Yuta Okkotsu (Special Grade Cursed Human which turns out to be from a lineage of Jujutsu Sorcerer).
How Does Gojo Look Like?
Gojo Satoru is a tall man with a lean physique. He is characterized by his blue blindfold (white color in the story prequel) that is tied in a way that shoves his white hair up to make it look spiky. Due to the Six Eyes, his eyes are colored light blue which is unlike any other Japanese. He wears the uniform of Tokyo Jujutsu High, a dark blue gakuran jacket paired with the same shade of dark blue pants and black shoes. In his casual wear, he often uses opaque circular sunglasses.
Gege Akutami created the character of Gojo to be a reliable and friendly teacher. Gojo wears a friendly and cheerful character whenever he’s around his friends and students but is outright rude and spiteful towards the Cursed Spirits and executives of Jujutsu Society.
When Was Gojo Born?
Gojo Satoru was born on December 7, 1989. The moment it was discovered that he possesses Six Eyes and Limitless, everyone knew that the balance of power will be tipped over in Gojo Family’s favor. Knowing that the Curse User will be having a hard time with an overpowered sorcerer around, a bounty is immediately placed on his head and numerous Curse User that works in the underground society target him for assassination. But to their dismay, they ultimately failed many times, and other assassins even realize that Gojo is born special and give up on their assassination attempt.
Where is Gojo From?
Gojo Satoru is born to the Gojo Family. The Gojo Family is one of the three most prominent families in the Jujutsu Kaisen world. The Gojos descended from Michizane Sugawara, a prominent Sorcerer from the Heian Era and one of the Big Three Vengeful Spirits.
What is Gojo’s Nationality?
Fans confuse Gojo Satoru as American because of his white hair and blue eyes but, Gojo is pure Japanese. His blue eyes are the result of the Six Eyes he inherited from his family. On the other hand, since there is no known other family member from Gojo Family, it is currently unknown whether white hair is a characteristic of someone born from the Gojo Family or if it is just Gojo who has white hair. It can even be a result of possessing a Limitless Inherent Technique.
As we all know, the Gojo Family immediately knew that Gojo possesses both Limitless and Six Eyes. Six Eyes can be reflected on the eyes so they can tell it at a glance but they have no way of knowing Jujutsu Technique of another individual except for when that individual manifested it themselves. They may have some sort of a sign or indication like white hair.
Another confusing trait of Gojo is that the way he dresses in casual wear is not like a typical Japanese. He sometimes wears a white long-sleeve and slacks, and sometimes a long-sleeve t-shirt with his signature opaque shades, a very American fashion.
