Gojo’s Infinity is an ability that caught the attention of many anime fans. Infinity makes Gojo seem untouchable to the point that anime fans started to speculate on who or what could even beat this insane ability. The truth is there are two instances in the manga where Gojo’s Infinity has been bypassed. Read this article to find out how to beat Gojo’s Infinity.
How Does Gojo’s Infinity Work?
Limitless
Limitless is a cursed technique passed down within the Gojo Family. It is a technique that allows the user to manipulate and distort space. Any member of the Gojo Family can inherit this technique; however, only those who possess the Six Eyes can fully gain control and mastery of the Limitless. In the last four hundred years, Gojo Satoru was the only sorcerer who was born with both the Limitless and Six Eyes, making him the strongest jujutsu sorcerer alive.
Infinity
Infinity is basically the neutral form of Limitless. It allows the user to manipulate space and create an infinite amount of space between him and his opponent. How? By dividing the finite space between them and dividing it an infinite amount of times. Thanks to this technique, Gojo becomes literally untouchable. Even a bullet will not give him a scratch since anything that approaches Infinity will be slowed down and will never hit Gojo. It is a constant invisible barrier that protects him from all kinds of external attacks.
How to Beat Gojo’s Infinity?
Even though it seems impossible to bypass Gojo’s Infinity, there are actually two ways to do it.
Using the Inverted Spear of Heaven
The Inverted Spear of Heaven is a special grade cursed tool used by Toji Fushiguro in the Hidden Inventory Arc. It is a jitte-shaped dagger that features a circular “q” shaped hand guard that protrudes from the side of the longer blade. The weapon also includes a black handle with a circular hook at the end that allows it to be attached to metal chains. A third blade appears to have been situated on the front of the weapon, but it has clearly been cut off.
It is imbued with cursed energy and the weapon has the power to nullify any cursed technique that it comes to contact with. Yes, even powerful cursed techniques such as Gojo’s Limitless can be negated by the Inverted Spear of Heaven.
This weapon was used by Toji in an attempt to assassinate the world’s strongest jujutsu sorcerer. Gojo’s Infinity was deemed useless as Toji stabbed him through the throat using the Inverted Spear of Heaven, completely nullifying the Infinity. Toji mercilessly slashed him until Gojo was left lying in a pool of his own blood. Luckily, Gojo was able to heal himself through the Reverse Cursed Technique.
Domain Amplification
Domain Amplification is a barrier technique that surrounds the user with a fluid layer of domain. It’s like the user becomes surrounded by water and that water can neutralize any cursed technique it comes to contact with. It is somehow similar to Gojo’s Infinity, but the downside of Domain Amplification is that the user will not be able to use their innate technique and activate Domain Amplification at the same time.
In Chapter 84, this technique was used by Jogo and Hanami to counter Gojo’s Infinity. Gojo was forced to dodge their attack knowing that Domain Amplification can neutralize Infinity. Despite using Domain Amplification to bypass Infinity, Jogo and Hanami were still defeated in the end. Gojo turned off his Limitless as bait and Hanami was foolish enough to fall for his trick. When Hanami noticed that Gojo’s Limitless was turned off, he thought that it would be a good opportunity to use his innate technique and attack Gojo.
However, he cannot use his innate technique and Domain Amplification at the same time, so he was forced to deactivate his Domain Amplification. Once Hanami removed his defense, Gojo did not waste any time and quickly finished him off.
Does Gojo’s Infinity Have a Limit?
Gojo’s Infinity does not have a limit and that’s what makes it such an insane ability. Gojo’s Infinity is always active and he can even filter the things that he wants to let inside his barrier.
